PepsiCo is proud of its progress in supplier diversity. Since our formal program began in 1982, many diverse-owned businesses have been critical to our growth, delivering unique innovation, insight, and impact. Today, as we strive to be the global leader in convenient foods and beverages by winning with purpose, these partners will be even more crucial to meeting the changing needs of customers and consumers.

We firmly believe that diversity in all aspects of our work is essential to strengthening our business and the communities that are the foundation of our success.

Who qualifies as a Diverse Supplier?

For consideration under PepsiCo’s Supplier Diversity program, companies must be 51% owned, operated, and controlled by a member of one of the following groups:

Ethnic Minority Owned
Differently-Abled Owned
LGBTQ+ Owned
Women Owned
Veteran Owned

Ownership by any of these groups means that the business is at least 51% owned by such individuals, or in the case of a publicly owned business, at least 51% of the stock is owned by one or more such individuals. The management and daily operations must be controlled by those associated Diverse Supplier group members.

PepsiCo develops and maintains strong partnerships with advocacy organizations that identify and develop diverse suppliers.

Hear what our vendors have to say:

Not only do they want to hear from women in business, they want to utilize women in business and they listen. And I think that's the most important thing about our relationship with PepsiCo as a woman owned business.

My father started growing potatoes in 1981, and PepsiCo was his first customer. It's hard for a black grower to get a fair hand… that's all he wanted was a level playing field. PepsiCo has helped give us a fair hand.
